Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
It has now been 2 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've enjoyed the
privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 9 Nursing Homes and 2 Churches. To God Be
The Glory!
Monday January 11 th ~
Ministered at the "Good Samaritan" nursing home here in Socorro, New Mexico. Came
in just before their regularly scheduled devotional period. Walked up & down the hallways
strumming up business. Sat in on the end of their devotion. Then sang after they'd
finished. By then a few more had gathered.
Got over to the "First Baptist" office to publish the update. These dear folks not only
allowed me to park and plug in the heater last night. But also, the Pastor (Bob) offered a
motel room for tonight. A sweet opportunity to spread out and relax a little. May God
Bless Him!
Tuesday January 12 th ~
Drove east across the "Captain Mountains" to Roswell, New Mexico.
Wednesday January 13 th ~
At the "Mission Arch Health & Rehab Center", while going up and down the hallway's
strumming up business, a staff member invited me into the Alzheimer's unit.
Sang for them for a bit, then into the main activity area where folks had gathered. A very
noisy ice machine made it tough to concentrate. Then a maintenance man came in with
an electric drill and proceeded to work on a table. I got so tickled, I stopped playing and
got in a good laugh. Looked over at him and said "Well Bless you anyway". He played
dumb for a minute, then left the repair for later.
In the evening I attended services at the "Trinity House of Praise" where I enjoyed the
Honor of contributing a couple of songs and message. Parked there for the night, and
was able to plug in the heater.
Thursday January 14 th ~
Sang at the "Sunset Villa Care Center" here in Roswell.
Got a shower at a small outreach house.
Spent the afternoon working in the library.
Then back to "Trinity" for the night.
Friday January 15 th ~
Drove across eastern New Mexico into Texas. Stopped in Brownfield where the city has
provided a free RV Park with electric hookups and water for up to five days.
Saturday January 16 th ~
Ministered at the "Brownfield Rehab & Care Center" for a lovely group of residents.
Sunday January 17 th ~
Attended the "Christian Life" church here in Brownfield.
And So Begins Another Week.
May The Lord Our God
Guard, Guide And Direct You.
In The Name Of Jesus. Amen!
Yours In Christ, Larry
